Grand Lakes sits in the southeast pocket of Katy, spreading across roughly 1,250 acres in Fort Bend County. Healthcare sits close as well, since major hospital systems continue building new campuses across the area. For busy families especially, that mix of convenience and choice removes plenty of friction.

Outdoor lovers find lots to enjoy too. Parks, fishing spots, and quiet green spaces dot the surrounding area, and the Grand Parkway makes weekend day trips simple to plan. Whether you head into Houston for a concert or stay local for a slow Saturday, your options stay refreshingly flexible. In short, the area balances genuine suburban calm with real access to big-city perks and amenities.

Amenities carry real weight in Grand Lakes, and the community delivers more than most. Homes in Grand Lakes receive their annual property tax assessments from the Fort Bend County Appraisal District. The total tax rate consists of several different taxing entities, which can vary depending on the part of the community where you live. This community does not offer golf course lots, yet the abundant waterfront views more than make up for that.

Construction wrapped up years ago, so new building has effectively finished across the community. Respected builders shaped the neighborhood, including Trendmaker Homes, Perry Homes, David Powers Homes, and Ashton Woods. Each one brought a proven track record from other Houston-area developments, which still shows in the quality today. As a result, buyers gain established homes backed by dependable names.
